Chamber F.Y.I. Newsletter

Printed monthly and distributed to over 5,000 local residents in the Courier Newspaper and also direct-mailed to our database in excess of 1,300 members. New members and membership renewals are showcased, as well as business names and logo of sponsoring companies at various events. Paid advertising is available. Each new member receives free ribbon cutting or ground breaking ceremonies to be publicized.

Free Membership Directory and Website Listings

Chamber membes receive free business lisings in the Membership Directory, published annually, and on the Chamber’s website, www.conroe.org, updated daily. In addition to free listings, members can purchase advertisig spots in the Membership Directory, and on-line banner advertisements through the Chamber’s website. Website visitors should look for up-to-date news articles, calendar of events, and ribbon cutting / ground breaking schedules.

Networking Breakfast

Held on the second Wednesday of every month, the Chamber’s Networking Breakfasts are for those early-rising business professionals who are eager to sell their products and services. Each member has an opportunity to stand up and briefy discuss their business/services, and ample one-on-one networking time is available at the event. Members are encouraged to bring brochures, flyers, and business cards. Door prizes are accepted and drawings are held at the close of each event

Business Afterhours

Held on the third Thursday of every month from 5-7 p.m., Buiness Afterhours events provide Chamber members with a free reception offering food, beverages, and a great networking atmosphere. Each Business Afterhours is held at a different Chamber business location.

Membership Luncheons

Learn about the positive happenings in Montgomery County at these informative lunch meetins held on the fourth Thursday of every month. A great opportunity to call upon a business acquaintance and share lunch while networking with your fellow and prospective members. New members and guests are introduced; cash drawings are held.

Special & Co-Sponsored Events

Numerous events and workshops are held throughout the year, providing Chamber members with multiple avenues to network, advertise, and support their business and services to each other and the general public. Members are encouraged to share their talents and knowledge by joining a community or special events committee.

The mission of the GC/LCACC is to strengthen the economic environment and quality of life in Montgomery County. The Chamber’s goals and yearly planned program of work are accomplished through the collective efforts of the board, staff, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. In business for almost 70 years, the GC/LCACC is proud to serve over 1,300 members, being honored as the second largest operating chamber in the Houston area, surpassed only by the Greater Houston Partnership.
